DESCRIPTION
[1969's ROLEX OYSTER PERPETUAL DATEJUST TURN-O-GRAPH "THUNDERBIRD" Ref.1625]The Datejust is Rolex's signature automatic watch. It is widely known as a watch that anyone can recognize at a glance due to its distinctive appearance.
This Datejust, with its bidirectional rotating bezel and numerals, is officially known as the Turn-O-Graph.
Ref.1625 is a second generation Turnograph produced from around 1959 to 1977, and this watch is a combination model with a stainless steel case and 18K yellow gold bezel.
The dial is a sunray finished champagne gold dial with bar indexes.
Earlier models of Ref.1625 had variations such as dauphin hands and wedge indexes, but from later models the design has been unified to bar hands and bar indexes.
The luminous paint on the dial and hands is tritium.
The installed movement is automatic Cal.1570. Among all Rolex movements, it is a masterpiece with a good balance of precision and durability, and is the prototype for current movements.
The bracelet comes with Jubilee bracelet 6252H. This retractable bracelet is characterized by its extremely light weight.
