Corgi Hosiery is a knitwear manufacturer founded in 1893 in South Wales, UK.
At the time of its founding, the main industry in Wales was coal mining, and the company began producing handmade socks with the desire to provide warm long socks to the workers there.
In 1960, they started producing hand-framed intarsia knitwear, and later added cashmere, gaining recognition from high-end fashion houses in Paris.
Then, in 1988, Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, was granted a Royal Warrant for his 10 years of loyal use of their knitwear and socks.
While most manufacturers mass-produce using machines, Corgi Hosiery still insists on handmade craftsmanship by skilled artisans.
