Handmade pottery, crafted one piece at a time in Patagonia's workshops.
The vibrant colors are a natural result of the metal components in the glaze reacting with oxygen in the air. The glaze itself is made using clay from the mountains of Patagonia and is fermented for several months before being finished.
This series continues to be produced by local artisans who have inherited the "raku ware" technique, which was introduced by a Japanese woman who traveled to Patagonia in the 1970s.
This item makes a statement both as a decorative object and as an accent piece for tables and other spaces.
