【Item Details】
An oversized coat featuring fabric exclusively produced for MAIDENS SHOP.
We have used a specially ordered fabric based on deadstock wool from the "CHEVIOT" collection, a flagship line by the long-established British textile manufacturer, MARTON MILLS.
Rooted in the traditional mountain wool of the Cheviot Hills on the border of England and Scotland, this material is characterized by its fullness combined with a powerful firmness and resilience.
Woven to leverage its excellent durability and resistance to losing shape, the fabric reveals a delicate weave pattern within its calm, deep tones, showing various expressions depending on the light and angle.
The cylindrical silhouette created by the generous volume produces a beautiful drape with movement; while the dolman sleeves add volume to the sides, the curved gussets placed under the arms create a natural forward-sweeping line.
Further appeal lies in the fine details, such as the deeply curved collar, the concealed front placket, the seam pockets at the waist, and the deep double back vent.
