Each coaster is hand-painted with an oil finish, making it a charming item that displays subtly different expressions depending on the light and angle.
They are also heat resistant, and easy to clean with a dry cloth if they get dirty.
Each one is carefully handmade in a workshop in the Netherlands.

Pien Studios is an Amsterdam-based brand founded in 2020 by textile designer Pien Barendregt.
Starting from a pure love for "making things," the brand creates products by incorporating materials with various textures and techniques.
Initially, it began with a small collection of hand-knitted accessories, and now collaborates with skilled artisans and knitters throughout the Netherlands and other parts of Europe.
