NOMAT ''YAK STOLE'' (GREY)

DESCRIPTION

【Item Details】
A yak stole crafted from raw yak wool purchased directly from Mongolian nomads, carefully sorted and processed into yarn at our local factory.
To survive harsh winters where temperatures drop to minus 40 degrees, yaks grow a layer of exceptionally soft down, which is collected by brushing during the spring molting season.
From approximately one ton of raw wool collected, only about 300kg of fibers are suitable for use in our stoles.
We meticulously remove coarse hairs and impurities, selecting only the soft down to spin into yarn. The colors are entirely natural, utilizing the inherent shades of the yak without any dyeing.
By blending dark brown, black, and white raw wool before spinning, we create delicate, deep-toned hues.
A simple stole that highlights the lightness, warmth, and soft texture unique to yak wool.
Whether wrapped around the neck or draped over the shoulders, it can be styled in various ways.
With a minimalist, unadorned design, this piece allows you to fully enjoy the rich, natural texture and depth of color of the material.

【NOMAT】
Nomàt is a brand established in the Spring/Summer of 2020, based in Tokyo and Paris.
The name "Nomàt" is a neologism inspired by "nomad,"
symbolizing an approach to creating clothing from a free perspective, unconstrained by borders or cultures.
It reconstructs basic elements that transcend eras and genres—such as classic, traditional, and military styles—through a modern lens. While respecting tradition, the brand proposes "another standard" that breaks free from existing frameworks.
Clothing that walks at your own pace amidst ever-changing landscapes.
Nomàt continues to create garments with that kind of quiet strength.
